"Exploding the Enemies Inside Me"  is an account of my first ten months of breast cancer treatment. Using e-mails both to and from friends and several journals, I recorded the fear and clinical details of my journey as well as the support of friends and humor I found along the way. I used quiet time to reflect on my life and the love that surrounds me. My artwork helps tell my story.

"If someone you love faces a cancer crisis,
send your heart to fight alongside them.
Encouraging words helped explode the enemies inside me.
I'm now a one-year survivor - and counting!" DS
